Mogens Zieler

6.3.1905 – 17.3.1983

Mogens Zieler was taught by the painter, Harald Giersing. In 1927 Zieler attended the School of Graphics, and in 1932 the Fresco school at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. Early in his artistic career, Mogens Zieler began to illustrate books and design bookplates. In his posters he used a simple and often humorous narrative style, occasionally featuring grotesque figures.
