Bo Bojesen really wanted to be an architect, but as he failed the admission exam for the School of Architecture in 1942, he applied for the advertising line at the Danish Design School instead.
The editor of Politiken’s Magasin, the poster artist Arne Ungermann, discovered Bo Bojesen, and arranged for him to be affiliated with the newspaper in 1946. In parallel with this work, Bojesen made a name for himself as a book illustrator and drew illustrations for the satirical magazine Blæksprutten.
His characteristic style is humorous, with neatly captured details and often biting satire.
